Making learning 'sticky'.
In 8 ways.

Eight behaviour science principles that make learning easier to engage with, easier to apply, and far more likely to stick at work.

OUR METHODOLOGY

A practical, human-centred approach.

The Power of 8 is our practical, human-centred approach to designing learning that actually changes what people do — not just what they know. It’s rooted in behavioural science and shaped by years of real-world delivery, helping teams build capability in a way that feels relevant, inclusive and immediately usable.

Instead of relying on one ‘type’ of learner, we design for the whole human: how people make sense of information, what motivates them, what gets in the way, and what helps new habits stick. The result is learning that lands well, travels across cultures and roles, and holds up under pressure — whether you’re onboarding new starters, developing leaders, improving customer experience, or supporting change.

Purpose

People commit when they understand why it matters.

We make the purpose clear and personal — connecting learning to real priorities, real customers and real outcomes — so participants lean in, not tune out.

Self - Power of 8.png

Self

Change starts inside the individual.

We create space for reflection, choice and ownership, helping people notice their patterns, strengthen self-awareness and commit to actions they can genuinely sustain.

Activity - Power of 8.png

Activity

Practice beats theory.

We build in doing, not just listening — realistic scenarios, practice, decision points and on-the-job experiments — so confidence grows through action.

Language - Power of 8.png

Language

Words shape behaviour.

We use clear, inclusive language that people actually use at work, building shared definitions and practical scripts so teams communicate consistently and confidently.

Visual - Power of 8.png

Visual

Design is not decoration; it’s clarity.

We use visual structure and storytelling to make information easier to grasp and recall, and to keep attention where it needs to be.

Logic - Power of 8.png

Logic

Make it make sense.

We structure learning so it’s easy to follow, easy to remember and easy to apply — with the right level of challenge, not unnecessary complexity.

People - Power of 8.png

People

Learning is social.

We design moments that build connection, trust and shared accountability — because behaviour change is far more likely when people feel seen, supported and part of something.

Environment - Power of 8.png

Environment

Context drives behaviour and so does psychological safety.

We design with the real workplace in mind. That means an environment where it’s safe to ask questions, try things out, make mistakes, and learn in the open — so new skills transfer into habits.

The Power of 8. Multiplied by 4.

This isn't maths. It's behavioural science - and we design learning and engagement experiences that participants want to take part in, meaning whatever your preferred method of deliver... we've got you covered.

In-person training

Our in-person training sessions are designed to fully engage with The Power of 8. We design sessions, one-off workshops and complete programmes where skilled faciliators expertly lift the learning off the page - meaning participants are engaged, enthused and proven to transfer more of their learning into practical application back in the workplace.

eLearning

The best eLearning is designed by people who really understand in-person engagement. And that's us!

We use all our Power of 8 engagement and learning design principles to make sure we design eLearning that engages your people - no matter when or where they access the sessions.

In a busy world, particularly with remote working being the norm for many, on-demand learning needs to hit more markers that eLearning alone. We design beautifully crafted learning in various formats that can be accessed at anytime, meaning learners can go at the own place and go back to topics as they need to.

Self-directed learning

Remote facilitation

Being spread over a wide geography is no longer a reason not to train your teams. We use our Power of 8 methodology to make sure learning objectives are met. Packed full of activity and led by expert facilitators, we can design and deliver for remote audiences across the world.
